ROX dyes are highly fluorescent，but they are very unstable，with some commercial samples having a shelf life of only a few months. Our 6-ROXtra dye is more stable than 6-ROX compounds while exhibiting essentially the same spectral properties as 6-ROX when conjugated to biological substrates such as oligonucleotides. In addition，our 6-ROXtra dye is more water-soluble than 6-ROX dye，which is essentially insoluble in water and aqueous buffers.
