Description:
Study on bond strength in Vancomycin-peptide complex; Plant cell culture test. It is a narrow spectrum antibiotic and is only effective against gram-positive bacteria. The mechanism of action is to bind alanyl alanine to the polyterminal of the precursor peptide of the sensitive bacterial cell wall with high affinity, block the synthesis of the polymeric peptidoglycan constituting the bacterial cell wall, cause the cell wall defect and kill the bacteria. In addition, it may also alter bacterial cell membrane permeability and selectively inhibit RNA synthesis. Vancomycin hydrochloride has strong bactericidal effect on gram-positive bacteria. Oral administration has a good effect on Clostridium difficile pseudomembranous colitis. It has strong antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, etc. It also has certain antibacterial effect on anaerobic streptococcus, Clostridium difficile, anthrax, actinomyces, diphtheria, gonococcus, Streptococcus virescens, Streptococcus bovis, Streptococcus faecalis, etc. It is not effective against most Gram-negative bacteria, Mycobacterium, Rickettsiella, Chlamydia or fungi.
