Use and synthesis method:
Biochemical studies, ribavirin is a broad spectrum antiviral. In vitro, it can inhibit the growth of respiratory syncytial virus, influenza virus, hepatitis A virus, adenovirus and other viruses, the mechanism of which is not fully understood. This product does not change virus adsorption, invasion and hulling, nor does it induce interferon production. After entering virus-infected cells, the drug is rapidly phosphorylated, and its products act as competitive inhibitors of viral synthetase, inhibiting inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase, influenza virus RNA polymerase and mRNA guanosine transferase, thereby causing the reduction of intracellular guanosine triphosphate, impelling viral RNA and protein synthesis, and inhibiting viral replication and transmission. May also be immune to respiratory syncytial virus and neutralizing antibodies
