Khumbu polysaccharide refers to the macromolecular polysaccharide substance in Khumbu. It is mainly found in Khumbu. Laminarin, unlike common polysaccharides, has a sulfuric acid group at the end of its molecular chain. The sulfate group is linked to the polysaccharide by an ester bond. Laminaris polysaccharides have good biological activity mainly due to the presence of a natural sulfate group at the terminal.

Properties: yellowish brown powder with special odor. A polysaccharide found in brown seaweed and found mainly in kelp. They are linear aggregates consisting of β- (1→3) crosslinked glucose residues, containing a small amount of β- (1→6) crosslinks as intermediate or branch point residues, and 2 to 3% D-mannitol as terminal groups. Easy to absorb moisture. Available in water-soluble or water-insoluble forms
