Polycarbonate 1℃ Freezer Containers "Gradient Cooling Cryopreservation Boxes" provide the critical, reproducible -1℃/minute freezing rate needed for successful cell cryopreservation and recovery. Requires only 100% isopropyl alcohol and a mechanical freezer. Box labels come with graphical step-by-step instructions for use. Holds 18 tube bottles. The holder prevents the tube bottles from coming into contact with the alcohol - to prevent contamination due to wick action, messing up the labels or marking the tube bottles. Containers with alcohol can be stored at room temperature, saving freezer space.

WARNING! Do not use cryogenic vials for storage in the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen unless correctly sealed in Nunc CryoFlex tubing. Such use may cause entrapment of liquefied nitrogen inside the vial and lead to pressure build-up resulting in possible explosion or biohazard release. Use appropriate safety procedures as outlined in the NALGENE Cryopreservation Manual when handling and disposing of vials. Request Lit. No. 10096 or download a copy from www.nalgenelabware.com.
