Determination of Significance：

Caffeic acid, also known as 3,4-dihydroxycinnamic acid, is a natural phenolic compound, widely found in a yellow flower, dandelion, cimicifuga, Valerian and other Chinese herbal plants. Caffeic acid is a kind of important pharmaceutical raw material, which has the functions of anti-inflammation, anti-virus, anti-oxidation and immunomodulation.

Measurement Principle：

Caffeic acid has an absorption peak at 323 nm and can be determined by High-performance liquid chromatography.

High-performance liquid chromatography (C18 column (4.6 × 250mm) , UV detector (VWD) , desktop centrifuge, ultrasonic cleaner, blast oven, adjustable pipette, mortar homogenizer, brown EP tube, needle filter (50, organic system, 0.45 μm) , injector, filter, filter membrane (organic system, water system, one each) , brown sampling bottle (50,2ml) , acetonitrile (chromatographic purity, 500ml) , phosphoric acid (analytical purity, 500ml) , ultrapure water.
