Determination of Significance:
Lactose is a unique carbohydrate in human and mammal milk. It is a disaccharide composed of one molecule glucose and one molecule galactose. It can be used in baby food, candy, margarine and so on.
Measurement Principle:
The content of lactose was determined by differential refraction detector.

High-performance liquid chromatography (Agilent Zorbax Carbohydrate chromatographic column (4.6 × 250mm, sugar analysis column) , differential refraction detector (RID) , table centrifuge, adjustable pipette, mortar/homogenizer, EP tube, needle filter (organic system, water system, 0.45 μm) , syringe, filter, filter membrane (organic system, water system) , brown injection bottle (1.5 mL) , acetonitrile (chromatographic purity) , ultrapure water.
