Ethyl violet is a biological stain, an indicator, used in nerve tissue and blood. Sensitivity photometric detection reagent for anionic surfactants. Ethyl violet is a green crystalline powder. It is violet blue in water and blue purple in ethanol. The maximum absorption wavelength is 596nm.
