6-Benzylamino Purine (6-BAP), a synthetic cytokinin, can be used in conjunction with auxin to enhance plant growth and development responses, promote flowering or node germination, stimulate cell division to thicken the flesh and reduce the chance of flower fall or fruit shedding. Improve the postharvest survival cycle of green vegetables, promote the extension and division of plant cells, strengthen the growth ability of germination seeds, enhance the immunity of plants to external stress such as drought, high salt, cold, etc., and improve the ability of plants to cope with diseases. 6-benzylaminopurine is commonly used as an important component in plant growth media (such as Murashige and Skoog, Gamborg's, and Chu's N6) to increase yield.
