Determination of Significance：

D-(-)-quinic acid is found in the bark of cinchona trees and has a strong sour taste. At high humidity, lactones can be formed, which is acutely toxic.

Measurement Principle：

Quinic acid has an absorption peak at 210 nm, and its content can be determined by high-performance liquid chromatography.

Self Provided：

High-performance liquid chromatograph (Polaris C18-A column (4.6×250 mm), ultraviolet detector (VWD)), tabletop centrifuge, adjustable pipette, water bath, mortar/homogenizer, EP tube (2 mL), syringe filter (aqueous), syringe, suction filter, membrane (aqueous, organic), brown vial (50, 1.5 mL), ultrapure water.
