Use and synthesis method:
Scientific research reagent, widely used in molecular biology, pharmacology and other scientific research, strictly prohibited for human body. Rifapentine is a semi-synthetic broad-spectrum fungicide with strong antibacterial activity against mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro. Leprae and other mycobacteria such as Mycobacterium kansensis and Mycobacterium toafae are also sensitive to this product, but Mycobacterium avium is resistant. In addition, this product has high antibacterial activity against most gram-positive coccus, and its MIC< 0.025mg/L; Poor effect on gram-negative bacteria. The effect on chlamydia was similar to erythromycin and doxycycline, but worse than rifampicin. Poor effect on methicillin-resistant staphylococcus. In vitro test results, Chlamydia, Staphylococcus aureus and Neisseria gonorrhoeae will develop resistance to this product. Combined with doxycycline, it has synergistic effect on Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Combined with isoniazid, the effect on tuberculosis bacilli is far greater than that of rifampicin combined with isoniazid. The action mechanism of this product is the same as that of rifampicin, for it firmly binds to the subunits of DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, inhibits the synthesis of bacterial RNA, prevents the enzyme from connecting with DNA, thus blocking the RNA transcription process and stopping the synthesis of DNA and proteins.
