dam-/ DCM-receptive cells produced by our company are the receptive cells obtained from E. coli dam-/ DCM-receptive cells treated by special technology. The dam-/dcm- strain was derived from Escherichia coli K12, which was a dam and dcm methylase inactivated mutant strain and was often used for de-DAM and dcm methylation treatment of plasmid DNA to eliminate the effects of dam and dcm methylation on enzyme digestion. The deletion of endA1 gene is beneficial to the production and quality of plasmid DNA. The inactivation mutation of methylase may result in the mutation of plasmid DNA in this strain, and the transformation experiment of ligand products is not recommended, only for plasmid transformation. The strain was also resistant to T1 phage infection. Conversion efficiency of pUC19 plasmid was >×106 cfu/μg DNA.
