Product Introduction:
Methylene blue staining solution is often used to stain living cells of yeast. Because of the metabolism of living cells, there is a strong reducing ability in cells, which can change methylene blue from blue oxidized form to colorless reduced form. Thus, living yeast cells with reducing power are colorless, while dead cells or senescent cells with weak metabolic effects appear blue or pale blue.
This product is a working solution, which can be used directly or combined with other reagents for staining.
