Safranin (also known as Safranin O or basic red 2 or Safranin T) is a biological stain used in histology and cytology. Safranin is often used as a counterstain in some staining experiments, staining all nuclei red. This is a typical counterstain in both Gram stain and endospore stain and is often used in Gram stain to discriminate between Gram-negative and positive bacteria.This product is only suitable for scientific research experiments, not for clinical research.
