Golgi Protein Extraction Kit

The Golgi Protein Extraction Kit offers a complete set of reagents for the extraction of Golgi apparatus from a variety of animal cells and solid soft and hard tissue samples. The kit contains a protease inhibitor mixture that prevents protease from degrading the protein and provides a guarantee for extracting high purity proteins. Golgi apparatus (Golgi bodies) are organelles composed of many flat vesicles whose main function is secretion. Also known as Golgi apparatus or Golgi complex; The Golgi apparatus is a highly polar organelle formed by several flat vesicles stacked together. It is usually distributed between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cell membrane, and it is arcuated or hemispherical, and the convex side facing the endoplasmic reticulum is called the forming face or cis face. The concave side facing the plasma membrane is called the mature face or the trans face. There are some large or small transport vesicles on both the front and back sides. In polar cells, Golgi bodies are often distributed in large quantities in the cytoplasm of the secretory end. Because it looks very similar to the smooth endoplasmic reticulum, some scientists believe that it is evolved from the smooth endoplasmic reticulum. The main enzymes in the Golgi apparatus are glycosyltransferase, sulfo-glycosyltransferase, oxidoreductase, phosphatase, protein kinase, mannosidase, transferase and phospholipase. The main function of the Golgi apparatus is to process, classify, and package the proteins synthesized by the endoplasmic reticulum, and then send them to specific parts of the cell or secrete them outside the cell. The protein extracted from this kit can be used for downstream protein research experiments such as Western Blotting, protein electrophoresis, immunoprecipitation, ELISA, transcriptional activity analysis, Gel shift gel blocking experiment, enzyme activity determination, etc. The protein extracted by this kit is an active protein with natural protein conformation. This kit does not contain EDTA and is compatible with downstream applications such as metal chelation and chromatography.
