This product is a prepared full-length sequence of human insulin, which is a polypeptide composed of 51 amino acid residues produced by recombinant technology that regulates glucose levels in the blood. It can be used in cell culture and animal experiments. Insoluble in water, soluble in dilute acetic acid or dilute hydrochloric acid, it is recommended to freeze at -20℃ according to a single dose to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. This product is non-aseptic packaging, it is recommended to filter and remove bacteria after dissolution.


Examples of using this product(for reference only)

In Vitro:

Cell(3T3-L1 preadipocytes cells,10 μg/ml insulin):

During differentiation, 3T3-L1 cells were cultured to confluency for 48 h and then incubated in differentiation medium consisting of insulin (10 μg/ml) (Solarbio), dexamethasone (0.25 μM), 3-isobutyl-1-methylxanthine (0.25 mM) (IBMX). Two days later, the medium was switched to DMEM consisting of 10 μg/ml insulin and changed every other day till full differentiation.

Cell(0.01 g/L insulin):

The adipogenic medium was the complete culture medium supplemented with 1 μM dexamethasone (Solarbio), 0.2 mM indomethacin (Solarbio), 0.01 g/L insulin (Solarbio), and 0.5 mM isobutyl-methylxanthine (Solarbio).

In Vivo:

Mice(0.75 U/kg insulin ):

For insulin tolerance test (ITT), mice were fasted for 4 h and then injected intraperitoneally with insulin (0.75 U/kg body weight) (Solarbio) and blood glucose was measured at 0, 15, 30, 60 min using a glucometer.
