Product Introduction:
Mucin staining, also known as mucus substance staining, is done in a number of different ways. For example, AB-PAS staining, HID-AB staining, and Alisin Blue staining. Most of these methods utilize the principle that Alisin Blue is a cationic dye that binds to acidic groups, i.e., Alisin Blue forms insoluble complexes with anionic groups contained in the tissue, such as carboxyl groups and sulfate.
Mucin Staining Kit (Card Red Method) is mainly used to show neutral mucus material, but can also be used to show acidic mucus material and novel cryptococci. It is especially suitable for showing the mucus substance of stomach and epithelium, and is mostly used clinically for the identification of mucus-secreting epithelial carcinoma. It mainly consists of mucus card red and hematoxylin staining solution and so on. The staining result is: the mucus substance is red and the cell nucleus is blue.
