Various cells and various components of cells have different affinities to the acidic and basic dyes in Wright-Giemsa staining solution due to their different chemical properties. Therefore, after staining with Wright-Giemsa staining solution, the corresponding kinds of cells show different colors, so as to achieve the purpose of identifying their morphological characteristics. Wright's staining solution and Giemsa staining have their own advantages and disadvantages in the staining of nucleus and cytoplasm.
