Safranin O-fast green staining is a classic staining method used to observe the morphology of different tissues in plants. Safranin O is an alkaline dye that can display the lignification, corkification, and keratinization of plant tissues. Fast green FCF is an acidic dye that can stain the cytoplasm and plant cell walls containing fibers.
