Product Introduction:
Sodium deoxycholate, with molecular weight of 414.55 and CAS number of 302-95-4, is a commonly used biological reagent.
Sodium deoxycholate is an ionic detergent, which can be used to lyse cells and dissolve proteins that are difficult to dissolve in water. The principle is that the surface activity of bile or bile salts can rapidly activate autolysin and accelerate the self-dissolution of Streptococcus pneumoniae and other bacteria. Sodium deoxycholate solution (10%,pH8.0) (cat: G0165) is recommended for bile lysis experiments.
